- There are no formal education or experience prerequisites required to take the CSM course or exam.
- You must attend a 2-day (14-16 hour) in-person or live-online CSM® training taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®) - Our training will help you with this.
- You must actively participate in the full training session to be eligible for the exam.
- You must create a Scrum Alliance account to access the exam.
- After completing the training, you must accept the Scrum Alliance license agreement before taking the exam.
- You will receive two attempts for the exam, included in the course fee, to be completed within 90 days of receiving exam access.
- The CSM® exam fee is typically included in the cost of the required training, with no separate payment required for the exam itself.
- A basic understanding of Agile and Scrum concepts is helpful but not required.
- A willingness to work in team-based, iterative environments is recommended for success in the certification.
